We often get e-mails with overlong lines, which make
replying to them unnecessary uncomfortable (Fig. 1). Admittedly, some
e-mail clients provide the command “Rewrap” in the window
for writing a reply, but often enough this does not work correctly.
MailWrap is a 32 bit program for Windows
2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10 for easily wrapping long lines in an e-mail before
replying to it. In doing so, spaces, tabs, as well as the characters
“>” and “|” at the beginning of a line will also
be written at the beginning of anew created lines, so that quotations
will look as expected in the rewrapped text (Fig. 2).
The program selects its language automatically: It is German on German
operating systems, and English otherwise.

Installation is not required, just unpack the folder
from the ZIP archive. The program is portable, and runs also from an
USB drive.
MailWrap doesn't add entries to the Windows
registry, nor does it alter anything else on the system.
Just delete the folder.
Command: MailWrap
MailWrap doesn't have any command-line options.
